Ongoing research shows that family engagement in schools improves student achievement, reduces absenteeism, and restores parents' confidence in their children's education. Students with involved parents or other caregivers earn higher grades and test scores, have better social skills, and show improved behavior.

Since 1936, Hugh Beaton has had a strong and passionate membership group committed to help our students excel.

Social & Family Events

Hugh Beaton families have found that connecting regularly as a family in today's fast-paced world, is important. Family time can boost kids' self-esteem, enhance social development, and create strong relational bonds. Through Home & School planned and funded events, families are able to reconnect while getting to meet and know their child's friends and families In a casual environment.

Hugh Beaton families enjoy many social events throughout the school year such as our 'Meet the Teacher BBQ', 'Winter Walk Through', 'Movie Nights', 'Spring Fling', and our infamous 'Fun Fair'.

Exciting Classroom & Extracurricular Support

We are able to offer a wide variety of support for both in-class & extracurricular activities through our FUNdraising events; ranging from purchasing musical insturments, team sport uniforms, field trips, bussing, student agendas to art materials. We have volunteer options that cater to every interest & ability. Keep an eye out for sign-ups!
